Congratulations Buddiup – Recognised in WA Parliament

Congratulations to Buddiup which has been celebrated in the WA State Parliament through a Two-Minute Statement, presented by Basil on 11 September.

The statement recognised Buddiup’s incredible impact as a local initiative supporting young men with disabilities to live healthy, connected lives. Since its beginnings at the Wembley Football Club in 2020, Buddiup has grown into a respected organisation that delivers tailored health programs, one-on-one mentoring, and social opportunities. Together with its sister program, Sisterup, the organisation now supports both men and women with disabilities across Perth – and has even expanded to Geelong, Victoria.

This acknowledgement in Parliament is a testament to the passion of founder Alistair, the dedication of mentors, and the strength of the participants who make Buddiup such a valued part of our community. Congratulations to everyone involved in this inspiring program – your work is changing lives and building a more inclusive future.
