CrossSafe making change for Floreat Park Primary School

Basil's campaign for safer school crossings is delivering real results - this time for @fpps_pandc and the many children and families who walk or ride to school each day.

After seven months without a crossing guard at the busy Howtree Place crossing, the school community has welcomed Aleisha, who is now there every morning and afternoon to help students cross safely.

But there is still much more to do. At the start of Term 2, 78 school crossings across WA were without an attendant, with crossing guard vacancies increasing 38 per cent in just six months. Every child deserves to get to and from school safely, and every parent deserves peace of mind.

The State Government must treat this issue with the attention it deserves. CrossSafe is now a statewide campaign. If there is a school crossing safety concern in your community, let the Churchlands Electorate office know here.
