Three finalists from our local community have been named in the 2026 WA Seniors Awards, one of the highlights of WA Seniors Week (8-15 November).
Renu Sharma is a finalist for the WA Seniors Advocate of the Year Award, which recognises people who stand up for older Western Australians and help them age well in their community.
The Town of Cambridge is a finalist for the WA Age-Friendly Local Government Award, which honours councils that support older residents to stay connected, active and included.
And Men's Talk is a finalist in the WA Age-Friendly Business Award, which recognises business that contribute to creating age-friendly environments for older Western Australians.
To be presented on 13 November, the Awards celebrate exceptional seniors, as well as the advocates, businesses and local governments that help older Western Australians enjoy a high quality of life, wherever they live.
Fifteen finalists have been named across five categories.
“I’m delighted to see locals recognised as finalists. It is a great credit to them, and to our local community.
"Older Western Australians have built the communities we enjoy today, and these awards are a chance to say thank you.
"Congratulations, and best of luck on 13 November.”
