Woodlands Primary School's "A Marvellous Day!" a sell-out success

Woodlands Primary School's Year 5 and 6 students brought the house down last week with a sold-out season of "A Marvellous Day!" at the Churchlands High School auditorium.

Basil was delighted to support the school by sponsoring the printing of the musical's programs, helping bring the production to life for an audience spanning kindergarten kids through to parents, grandparents, recent alumni, and even original cast members from the show's debut more than a decade ago. Every seat was filled, a fitting turnout for a night that brought the whole school community together.

The evening's most memorable moment came in the final act, when the entire cast broke into the school song, written, like the musical itself, by Steve Robinson. Sung at every school assembly, the song is one every student and parent knows by heart, and as the cast performed it, the audience rose to join in.

It was a fitting finish to a night that showcased the talent, confidence, and community spirit of Woodlands Primary School's students, and Basil was delighted to have played a small part in making it possible.
