Mercy Retirement Village Wembley welcomes Basil for morning tea

Basil and his team recently attended a morning tea at Mercy Retirement Village in Wembley, with a very welcoming crowd of around 45 residents gathered to have a chat and share a cuppa.
Basil opened the morning with a brief address, introducing himself and discussing local news, before opening the floor for discussion. The dialogue was lively, with longtime electorate residents connecting over their experiences and memories of the community. Residents voiced a range of thoughtful questions, from inquiry about the direction and future of the Liberal WA party, to concerns over proposed state legislation. A topic of interest was the future of politics and how to get young people involved, and Basil spoke on the imperative of engaging with issues that are important to young people.
Basil thanked the everyone for their attendance and input and noted how vibrant the village community is. After the conclusion of formalities, Basil stayed for a coffee and chatted with residents, many whom he had previously met over years in the community.
