Thanks to Friends of Galup for having us along at their busy bee

Basil spent a wonderful morning with the Friends of Galup planting and collecting rubbish.

It was great to have Anthony along, helping with about 20 volunteers from the local area conserving and enhancing the urban wetland and recreation reserve.

Friends of Galup is a community-based group run by volunteers and their long term goals include:

• Wetland restoration and improved water quality

• Native revegetation

• Protecting native fauna (turtles, birds)

• Raising public environmental awareness of the lake

• Input to local and state government management plans
