Churchlands CrossSafe early success

Basil’s CrossSafe initiative is already having an impact with Road Safety Commissioner Adrian Warner prioritising the rollout of smiling electronic speed‑awareness signs across school zones in Churchlands.

As announced in the Post Newspapers on 14 March, these signs are an early intervention, needed to help address the ongoing shortage of traffic wardens. The rollout is expected to be further upgraded with the inclusion of speed cameras to deter speeding motorists.  

Basil will continue applying pressure through his CrossSafe Initiative, with the formation of a stakeholder engagement group to develop ongoing strategies. To support this effort, please complete the survey here and/or write to Basil to share your experiences and concerns.
