The Lacrosse Australia Under 15’s championship for 2025 was hosted by our very own Wembley Lacrosse Club. Over seven days, from 28 September to 4 October, Perry Lakes Sportsgrounds was home to 20 teams travelling from three Australian states, and from New Zealand!
The event was a substantial feat, with around 400 athletes and event officials, and a large crowd of spectators cheering the players on. Matches were live streamed via the Australian Lacrosse Network, with fans and interstate families tuning in.
Basil was on the ground to watch the semi-finals, connecting with local families and those who had travelled to be there. He was fortunate to get some game tips from two young NSW travellers and to hear about their success in the tournament.
Perth is scheduled to hold the under 18’s National Lacrosse Tournament in 2026, which likewise promises to be a great event for the local Lacrosse community.
