Valuable local round tables held in the Electorate Office

Two important round table meetings were held at the Churchlands electorate office in recent weeks; one with local school Principals and another with small business owners — each offering valuable insights into the needs and priorities of our community.
The Principals’ round table brought together leaders from our local schools to discuss student wellbeing, classroom support, traffic safety, and planning pressures. Their firsthand perspectives highlighted the challenges facing families and teachers, as well as the opportunities to strengthen collaboration across the education network.
A separate round table with small business owners provided an honest and constructive conversation about workforce shortages, rising operating costs, shopfront safety, and the realities of doing business in the current economic climate. Participants shared practical ideas to support local enterprise and help Churchlands remain a vibrant place to work and shop.
These discussions are an important part of our commitment to listening, learning and working alongside the people who make our community strong. More sessions with local leaders will continue throughout in 2026.
